Finals/Regents Information
Not that any of you care very much, but I put in a new type of calendar (see the sidebar), where I can actually put in due dates and dates of school events and things like that, which I think is much more useful than a static calendar. Check back here after the chem regents for a summer reading post (where we will upload summer reading assignment sheets), which should be the absolute last post for this school year.
I encourage anybody who knows the room number for their specific class to leave a comment, and an administrator will put it up on the main post.

There's no essay on the english finals, but there will be reading passages in addition to mc-style questions based on all the works that your class has read this year. (The exam may have questions specifically for students that have different teachers)

What would really be great for the summer would be to create a website to host the companion on other than blogspot, ive been hearing so many great things about ethan's extensive knowledge of MySql, Php, and Ajax.
A real time chat functionality would be very helpful on a real website, and we all know that ethan is completely capable of coding one from scratch.

if you're looking for help, make sure you dont ask alex. he cant even implement an adaptive heap sort algorithm correctly! how can yuo expect him to do a website of such importance.
but yeah, some nice asynchronous javascript and xml going on there would make it much smoother.
to the poster before me: you're a total noob. what good would php do at all for this type of website? a JSP/servlet/hibernate database design would go much smoother, as it would allow a more user friendly graphical user interface. i guess a noob loike you can only use php because it takes less time. you're the type of loser that cant even write a simple shell script to access your files.
compiling a servlet would be no problem for ethan. oh yeah, if you're going to go with the java path, why dont you write some mobile software so we can acess the website with our cellphones? ethan pretty much wrote the book on J2ME. it shouldnt be a problem, even with those nasty model ports that a noob like the previous poster would stuble for months on.

yes, i have addressed that problem many times before in my life. i have lost many friends do to it, as a sad matter of fact. i am currently seeing a therapist about the matter, and i think it is starting to get better.
Im glad to hear that you're able to recognize it when you have a problem and take action to do something about it. Many people can't do that, and it takes a lot of guts.
However sarcastic your comments may have been, they are not without merit. I daresay Ward Melville Companion is not the most advanced or progressive websites, and I am the first to admit there are a lot of things that I could improve upon to enhance the user experience. If you feel you'd be able to lend any of your talents towards such a goal, please, let me know.

Set up an IRC chatroom with slashnet.org. mIRC costs money to use past 30 days but I've got a keygen I can give if people really need it.
I believe the Chemistry Honors final is in room 123 as well. Don't quote me though. There's also a Math 11H final the same time as the 10H, held in room 324 (same as the normal room, at least for period six). There are at least four tenth graders in it including me.

You dipshit, blocking off usage after a trial period is only one of the ways shareware functions; others include restricting access to certain commands, constant nag-screens, inclusion of advertisments, etc.

WMC is just a website I made to help people out, nothing I want controversey over, and definitely nothing I want to result in any type of destructive actions.
